SimplyTrends Privacy Policy

Privacy and security are in our DNA. From our protocols and policies to the technology we use, security is front and center in everything we do.

Security - it's everyone's job

At SimplyTrends, security is everyone’s responsibility. We combine enterprise-grade security features with comprehensive audits of our policies, applications, systems, and networks.

All our employees (and contractors) have an obligation to maintain the confidentiality, integrity, accessibility, and security of the data managed by SimplyTrends.

Data Provided by SimplyTrends

SimplyTrends only provides publicly available data algorithmically captured and indexed from billions of websites and apps and its aggregated results.

Privacy by Design

To keep your information safe, we follow all applicable standards and regulations. We devote substantial time, effort, and resources toward compliance with all applicable privacy laws and regulations – like GDPR and CCPA – and invest heavily in developing data collection methodologies and practices that maximize compliance and protect customers’ privacy interests:

1. Vulnerability Reporting We employ a multi-step verification process to avoid the collection of personal data or personally identifiable information (PII)

2. Behavioral data is collected anonymously and aggregated at the site- and app-level – rather than the user-level

3. Data is never used for targeted advertising or user profiling, and we don’t use “cookies” to collect behavioral data

SimplyTrends Vulnerability Disclosure Policy

1. Vulnerability Disclosure Philosophy

SimplyTrends believes effective disclosure of security vulnerabilities requires mutual trust, respect, transparency and common good between SimplyTrends and Security Researchers. Together, our vigilant expertise promotes the continued security and privacy of SimplyTrends customers, products, and services.

2. Security Researchers

SimplyTrends accepts vulnerability reports from all sources such as independent security researchers, industry partners, vendors, customers and consultants. SimplyTrends defines a security vulnerability as an unintended weakness or exposure that could be used to compromise the integrity, availability or confidentiality of our products and services.

3. Scope

This policy applies to any digital assets owned, operated, or maintained by SimplyTrends, including public-facing websites.

4. Our Commitment to Researchers

Trust: We maintain trust and confidentiality in our professional exchanges with security researchers.

Respect: We treat all researchers with respect and recognize your contribution for keeping our customers safe and secure.

Transparency: We will work with you to validate and remediate reported vulnerabilities in accordance with our commitment to security and privacy.

Common Good: We investigate and remediate issues in a manner consistent with protecting the safety and security of those potentially affected by a reported vulnerability.

5. What We Ask of Researchers

Trust: We request that you communicate about potential vulnerabilities in a responsible manner, providing sufficient time and information for our team to validate and address potential issues.

Respect: We request that researchers make every effort to avoid privacy violations, degradation of user experience, disruption to production systems, and destruction of data during security testing.

Transparency: We request that researchers provide the technical details and background necessary for our team to identify and validate reported issues, using the form below.

Common Good: We request that researchers act for the common good, protecting user privacy and security by refraining from publicly disclosing unverified vulnerabilities until our team has had time to validate and address reported issues.

6. Vulnerability Reporting

SimplyTrends recommends that security researchers share the details of any suspected vulnerabilities across any asset owned, controlled, or operated by SimplyTrends (or that would reasonably impact the security of SimplyTrends and our users) using the web form below. The SimplyTrends Security team will acknowledge receipt of each vulnerability report, conduct a thorough investigation, and then take appropriate action for resolution.
